Procuring translation services

Procuring translation services and ensuring high quality can be tricky. What requirements should you set, and what do you need to consider regarding quality and price?

Unfortunately, there are recent examples of procurement where a great deal has gone wrong. This is why the Association of Swedish Language Service Providers and the Swedish Association of Professional Translators have collaborated on producing a brochure with information, advice and tips for public procurement officers. Translator Scandinavia’s CEO, Cecilia Enbäck, along with representatives of other translation companies and freelance translators, has produced the material.

The brochure is primarily aimed at those needing to procure translation services in the public sector but may also be of help to anyone considering procuring translation and language services. What should you consider before, during and after the procurement process? You can read the brochure here.
